I am currently in the middle of the second semester of nurse anesthesia school, which many have told me was most challenging for them ( I think I have heard that about EVERY semester from at least someone, but we all have our different perspectives). The reason most struggle is because we are in "full-blown" class PLUS full-time clinical. Out clinical + in-class time is scheduled to equal 40 hours/week, but add onto that the clinical preparation, care plans, creating presentations, and studying for a multitude of frequent exams.....plus anything NOT school related (is there still such a thing??) and it seems like 24 hours each day is never enough!
ANYWAY... we just took 2 exams this past week and don't have another exam for 2 WEEKS! We can finally enjoy a weekend!!!!

ANYHOOO.......I need to take a little advice from Rafiki
Even though yesterday's "indulgences" are still hurting today....I'm not going to dwell on it. I will learn from it and MOVE ON!!
FINDING THE little things THAT MAKE YOU happy!
I have never been able to workout early (before 10am) until starting school this past summer. I hated it!! YUCK!
But now that I'm in anesthesia school, I LOVE my early morning workouts! Maybe it's because I am now accustomed to an EARLY SCHEDULE (up before 4am anyone??), but I think it has more to do with the QUIET and PEACE of working out on my own time, when it is still dark and still outside. The craziness of the day hasn't started yet, and I can actually do something at my own pace...in my own element......without having to worry about anyone or anything else!!
(This is my VIEW while I'm working out as the sun is coming up....)
Finding those little things is SO important to our happiness and sanity.
Most of the time, recognizing what those little things are is the HARDEST PART!
